I gave the good ol’ ‘self-timer’ a work out on the weekend! Amongst all the shopping and shivering, we found our new little friend! Yes, he is a doorstop, and his name is Righteous (the name all our future pets will be called, so we can easily remember their name). With our new little youngster, we had our own little family shoot in a little park. Hehe!
I enjoyed using the self-timer as a matter of fact!I think we might just have to have our own mini session 
Yes, there was another young family nearby who thought we were a bit strange… one little boy ran up to us with a bright green soccer ball and a runny nose. I said, “Hey little man!” and he said (in a very ‘toff’ voice), “I’m not a man… I’m a boy!” …And then he ran off. Hahah, maybe we’re not the only strange ones after all!
Well, we can be a family… one day!

Oh my! I still can’t get over how cute this baby is! Our shoot last week with The Hammann Family was just beautiful. We spent the afternoon under the willows, with blankets, boats and the most adorable baby. I love the joy not only in this baby, but in the parents as well. Mr and Mrs Hammann… you are awesome. Thank you so much for coming to spend the afternoon with us… now have more babies so I can take photos of them!
Do you remember those books of the gum nut babies that only show their bottoms!?…

I am proud to say that I got to photograph the beautiful arrangements of Miss Polly Flowers last week. Not only is Miss Polly Flowers the place to go for all your wedding flower needs, she is also the person to go to if you want your wedding planned to perfection. Ruthie, the owner of Miss Polly Flowers, is one of my greatest friends – and I count it such a privilege to partner with her! What is so lovely, is that we both have the same style – I don’t really know what to call it – it’s just us. Yesterday we said goodbye to our good friend. His name was Simba.
Simba was a ball of energy. It’s only just now that I realised how much he actually looked after us. Even though his continuous barking at midnight would drive us all crazy, this beautiful 1 year old puppy knew to protect our home. My sisters walked home from the bus stop every afternoon, Simba would meet them half way and walk them home.
One of his favourite hobbies was visiting the horses and cows next door, to stir them up. All afternoon he would chase them, jump around in the grass, and wait for them to chase him. It was just his way of having fun.
Dad would get so annoyed when he found Simba in the morning absolutely covered (I mean – covered!!) in mud (and horse poo!), when they day before, Dad had scrubbed him so clean he looked like a fluffy polar bear. Simba would visit the next door neighbour’s creek – at night.
Yesterday afternoon we arrived home from work, to find Simba sitting – in front of the gate! – with his head high, wagging his tail and his ears flapping in the wind. I said to Mum as we drove in, “He’s just like the king of this place – and he knows it!” But all he was doing was protecting the house, as my sisters were home alone.
Being the little innocent puppy he was, he ran out in front of the milk truck, that he didn’t see or hear. Simba wasn’t just ‘our puppy’, he was our friend.
We will never forget you boy!

…one of my favourite flowers on the whole planet. They so beautifully compliment my vintage camera, which i love so dearly.
… like these, shall be treasured. I got to spend a whole week with my family that, at every other day of the year, are on the other side of the country. No words could ever describe the fun we all had as we spent Christmas as a family. Thankyou Nan and Pop for opening up your home to all of us crazy, on-the-go people! It was the best place to relax and enjoy Christmas as one big happy family.
… is a whole lot of fun. When my video man and I did this shoot, I couldn’t help but take some photos of my video man himself! He’s just too good looking.

I have found a new way of editing photos – I think I have found a new love. When these photos were finished editing and I saw the result, I leaped out of my office chair and shouted, “Yesssss!”
Ok.. so maybe it’s just me. I get so excited over the smallest of victories (my family can testify to that!)

After looking through folders and folders of photos, I saw a pattern that I’d never thought I’d come across.
I found that most places I go, I seem to find a patch of grass, whether it be green, yellow, green with white flowers or even brown, I can’t walk past it without taking a photo.
It’s one of those things that I am drawn to.
Another gorgeous afternoon of mine was spent in a paddock with the little Miss. After bribing her with skittles, this is what happened… Isn’t she just the cutest!
It is safe to say that one of the greatest things my God made was… colour.
Because of the love, grace and freedom He has given me – I am able to live a collage of colour.

It’s been almost 2 years since the wonderful world of photography and blogging began for me. At the time it was just a really, really fun hobby – now it’s a deep passion. Two years ago, I would never have thought that I would be where I am today. Sometimes I look back on the “newbie” blogging days and wish I’d known what I was doing before I started a blog (Oh the “newbie” days).
After saving and saving and saving and saving, I was able to buy my first “real” camera, the good ol’ Canon 500D, and it’s massive lens that I bought with it. (I have to admit, I think I’ve gotten stronger after holding that thing up for almost 2 years!) I spent hours experimenting, learning, and yes, it’s true…“looking” at it. I had fallen in love.
My next purchase, was the 50mm 1.8. Oh boy, I love that little one. Using this baby was where my Siannon Parice “look” began; light-filled, vintage-looking goodness.
Then along came two lovely ladies. One a bride-to-be and one a bridesmaid. These ladies had fallen head-over-heels in love with my photos. She asked me if I would be the photographer for her special day! (To be honest, I couldn’t believe it!) So in January 2012, I will be journeying to my first wedding. (This is a big step for me, but I’m terribly excited. Woohoo!) The excitement that this brought made me realise that I wanted to capture love and life in all it’s fullness.
Even now, I wish I knew everything about photography there is to know. So, a lot of my time was spent looking at every single page of photography blogs all over the world, which only just inspired me more…
… since then, a part of me was screaming for a website of my own…
